Hacettepe University pledges itself to train highly qualified individuals for the future of the country in the light of universal values and availing of its wide experience in science, technology and art, and to offer its output in the fields of research, education and service for the benefit of the society. Hacettepe University Vaccine Institute, as the first Vaccine Institute in Turkey, has been established in January 2018. The Institute aims to provide education in the field of vaccines, to demonstrate the necessity of vaccine studies focusing on the effects of vaccination on social, economic and cultural dimensions together with other stakeholders and to take the lead in national vaccine production processes.
As the current COVID-19 pandemic caused by SARS-CoV2 has clearly unveiled the fact that the vaccine is the start point of the humanity on struggling with the infectious diseases most of the time, the value of vaccine research and scientific activities on global infectious diseases once again gained importance.
In this regard, Joint Vaccine Symposium 2020 organized by Hacettepe University Vaccine Institute will be held virtually, on December 11-13, 2020 on a digital platform via web environment. The program composed studiously by the Organizing Committee will be presented in the near future.
